Use of patient cables at a hospital
July 12, 2023 ⚊ 1 Min read ⚊ Views 72 ⚊ HEALTHHospitals need patient cables for a variety of reasons, especially for facilitating the monitoring and communication of vital signs and other patient data between medical devices and the central monitoring system. Such cables are ideally designed to connect medical devices, like patient monitors, electrocardiogram (ECG) machines, pulse oximeters, and blood pressure monitors, to the central monitoring station or the EHR. Masimo LNOP Patient Cable, for instance are used to connect LNCS sensors to a variety of pulse oximeters and multi-parameter monitors equipped with Masimo SET. Adapter cables are also available for monitors with conventional Nellcor technology, which allows for standardization on sensors throughout a facility with a mixed inventory of pulse oximeters.
