Acharya Harihar was born in a traditional Brahmin household in Sriramchandrapur village Sakhigopal in the Puri District in 1879, on the auspicious full moon of Phalgun. His mother’s name was Sraddhadevi, and his father’s name was Mahadev Brahma. Following the completion of his elementary education in the hamlet, he attended the Puri District School. Acharya Harihar was committed to doing good deeds since he was a young kid. In the country of Odisha, he had set the cornerstone for an associated social service.
